The article considers chaos theory as a scientific concept that was developed to explain nonlinear dynamics in objects of complex nature and solve applied problems engineering, meteorology, economics, construction, etc. Application sociology provides for good outcomes big social systems. In the context management, it opens discourse models overcome “the curse complexity”. It explains transformations processes include critical complexity. research reveals modern Russia pseudoscientific “managed chaos” is being used wage hybrid war. Russians are erroneously attribute USA strategists fact legitimizes subversive activities against countries where Russian Federation conducts or plans start military operations. V. Putin well informed about tactics; content-analysis his public narratives detected at least 50 mentions term “chaos” following contexts: 1) difficult legacy 90's, which he skillfully overcame; 2) characterize different regions world, culprits allegedly created USA; 3) conceptualization global phenomenon weapon warfare. analysis sources shows tactic understood politics deep invasion internal affairs sovereign states, operations, economic diplomatic pressure, interference electoral process, political corruption, information interventions, formation fifth column any kinds destructive measures. From experience 2014 events so-called "Russian Spring" Ukraine, operations "managed chaos" unfolded three directions: mass consciousness, obstruction state institutions, organization street protests riots. conclusion formulated large systems necessary specific element changes; transformation, depends on choice model system's existence near future.
